Vlado Begonja
Vlado, born in Croatia in 1949, migrated to Australia in 1959. Four years of Art Study, East Sydney Technical College, Kogarah Technical College, Randwick Technical College and Wollongong Technical College.
From an early age Vlado has had a love for drawing and painting that has continued to the present. Summer school holidays were spent at the local beach. Australian summers, long sandy beaches, surf carnivals with colourful surf boats and a relaxed lifestyle would become subjects for most of Vlado’s work.
His work is included in numerous private collections in Australia and many parts of the world. In 2005, Vlado was commissioned to paint two large murals on a Croatian Island Resort.
Vlado has been painting full-time since 1995.
