Jane Stapleford
Born Tunbridge Wells, England in 1945. Jane spent 3 years in India before arriving in Australia in 1954. Between 1964 and 1967, Jane trained in Fine Art at the National Art School, East Sydney, holding serveral on-woman shows at the Nunda Gallery, Canberra.
1967 to 1969 Jane studied in London at St Martins School of Art and at London Literary Society, selling a large number of paintings both privately and to London Galleries.
Since then Jane has held many one-woman shows in Canberra, Sydney, Victoria and exhibited in galleries around Australia. She has had paintings purchased by the Prime Ministers Department, Canberra and has also been commissioned by the American Ambassador.
