David Robert Hill
A graduate of the Julian Ashton Art School, Sydney. He has been a passionate and dedicated painter for 35 years.
His has been a voyage of discovery and in terms of technique and approach his work has taken many twists ans turns over the years. Many of his paintings have been described as celebratory and musical. He is currently working on a series of large format multi-image paintings inspired by the Austrlian landscape and environment.
Exhibitions of his paintings have been held in Sydney, Brisbane and London since 1973, and his paintings are represented in corporate and private collections in Australia and overseas. He taught expressive oil painting at Camp Creative seminars for many years and also at Mitchell College C.S.U.
David lives in the upper Blue Mountains where he has been part of the creative community there since 1980. Many of his articles on the art of painting have been published overs the years in the Australian Artist magazine, OZ arts and the Artist Palette magazine.
He co-authorised the art poetry book Gallimaufrey which features nearly 200 of his paintings.
